Dimanche 10 mars 2024 - _8ième étape : Nice - Nice (109,3 km)- Remco Evenepoel la 8e étape, Matteo Jorgenson 2e et sacré !
Disputée dans la région niçoise, la 8e et dernière étape de Paris-Nice 2024 a tenu toutes ses promesses ! Grâce à Remco Evenepoel, qui n'a pas ménagé ses efforts, une grosse bagarre a éclaté entre les favoris à plus de 45 kilomètres de l'arrivée à Nice, avec un grand gagnant : Matteo Jorgenson ! Seul coureur à avoir été en capacité de suivre jusqu'au bout le Belge de la Soudal Quick-Step, le nouveau coureur du Team Visma | Lease a Bike remporte cette 82e édition de la Course au soleil. Troisième Américain à s'offrir l'épreuve française, Jorgenson a pris la deuxième place de cette étape, nettement battu au sprint par Evenepoel, récompensé de ses efforts et victorieux pour la première fois de sa carrière professionnelle en France.

C'est à la Madone d'Utelle que se terminait la 7e étape de Paris-Nice, disputée ce samedi dans des conditions froides et pluvieuses. Au sommet de cette montée roulante de plus de 15 kilomètres, c'est Aleksandr Vlasov qui s'est imposé, huit ans après la victoire de son compatriote Ilnur Zakarin ! Sorti du groupe des cadors à un peu moins de 4 kilomètres de l'arrivée, le coureur de la BORA-hansgrohe a devancé de 8 secondes un quatuor réglé au sprint par Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) devant Primoz Roglic (BORA-hansgrohe), Mattias Skjelmose (Lidl-Trek) et Matteo Jorgenson (Team Visma | Lease a Bike).

Vendredi 8 mars 2024 - 6ième étape : Sisteron - La Colle-sur-Loup (198,2 km) - Skjelmose la 6e étape, McNulty en Jaune, Evenepoel et Roglic loin
Avant d'entamer la montagne ce week-end, la 82e édition de Paris-Nice faisait escale au pied des Alpes, avec une arrivée à La Colle-sur-Loup. Et au terme d'une 6e étape animée, c'est Mattias Skjelmose qui s'est imposé. Parti au sommet de la dernière difficulté du jour, à 28 kilomètres de l'arrivée, avec Matteo Jorgenson (Visma | Lease a Bike) et Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates), le Danois de la Lidl-Trek a réglé les deux Américains au sprint dans les rues de La Colle-sur-Loup. McNulty, 2e de l'étape, reprend lui la tête du classement général !

Jeudi 7 mars 2024 - 5e étape : Saint-Sauveur-de-Montagut - Sisteron (193,5 km) - Olav Kooij plus rapide que Mads Pedersen sur la 5e étape
Après une première journée en montagne, retour au "calme" sur cette 82e édition de Paris-Nice. Et au terme des 193 kilomètres entre Saint-Sauveur-de-Montagut et Sisteron, c'est Olav Kooij qui s'est imposé. Dans un scénario un peu similaire à la 1ère étape, le sprinteur néerlandais du Team Visma | Lease a Bike a déboîté Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) dans les 100 derniers mètres et a été chercher sa 2e victoire sur ce Paris-Nice. Le Danois a lui pris la 2e place, devant Pascal Ackermann (Israel-Premier Tech). Au classement général, rien à signaler, Luke Plapp (Jayco AlUla) conserve son maillot jaune.

Mercredi 6 mars 2024 - 4e étape : Chalon-sur-Saône - Mont Brouilly (183 km) - Buitrago s'offre la 4e étape, Plapp le Jaune, Gaudu perd gros
Un nouveau rendez-vous important se présentait ce mercredi aux candidats à la victoire finale de Paris-Nice avec une 4e étape très casse-pattes et une arrivée au sommet du célèbre Mont Brouilly ! A l'issue des 183 km de ce parcours en forme de montagnes russes, avec pas moins de sept ascensions à gravir, la victoire est revenue à l'inattendu Santiago Buitrago ! Parti dans l'avant-dernière montée du jour en compagnie de Luke Plapp (Jayco AlUla), le grimpeur colombien de la Bahrain Victorious a été impressionnant dans le Mont Brouilly pour faire mieux que résister à un groupe de favoris attentiste. Il s'impose finalement avec 10 secondes d'avance sur Plapp, le champion d'Australie se consolant avec la prise du maillot Jaune de leader !

Mardi 5 mars 2024 - 3e étape : Auxerre - Auxerre (contre-la-montre par équipes - 26,9 km) - UAE Team Emirates la 3e étape ! Evenepoel, Roglic, Gaudu battus
Journée cruciale sur cette 82e édition de Paris-Nice, avec le contre-la-montre par équipes de 27 kilomètres autour d'Auxerre. Et c'est celle qui était considérée comme l'une des grandes favorites du jour qui s'est imposé, avec la formation UAE Team Emirates ! L'équipe émiratie a réalisé une très grosse deuxième partie de chrono et a repoussé son dauphin, le Team Jayco AlUla, à 15 secondes à l'arrivée. Le podium du jour est complété par la formation EF Education-EasyPost. Avec le succès de son équipe, c'est Brandon McNulty qui s'empare du maillot jaune de leader.

Lundi 4 mars 2024 - 2e étape : Thoiry - Montargis 177,6 km - Laurence Pithie : «Je ne m'y attendais pas en partant ce matin»
Le rêve éveillé de Laurence Pithie ne s'arrête pas en ce début de saison 2024 ! Après avoir remporté fin janvier sa première course WorldTour à l'occasion de la Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, réussi à accompagner Wout van Aert (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) fin février sur Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne lorsque le Belge a lâché les chevaux, et enfin terminé troisième de la 1ère étape de Paris-Nice dimanche, le Néo-Zélandais a désormais endossé le maillot jaune de Paris-Nice ! Deuxième ce lundi à Montargis derrière le supersonique Arvid de Kleijn (Pays-Bas, Tudor Pro Cycling Team), le jeune coureur de 21 ans a engrangé 6 secondes de bonification, ce qui lui a permis de devenir le nouveau leader du classement général de la Course au soleil.

Dimanche 3 mars 2024 - 1ere étape : Les Mureaux - Les Mureaux 157,7 km, Olav Kooij la 1ère étape, Remco Evenepoel déjà à l'attaque !
C'est parti pour Paris-Nice 2024, qui a débuté ce dimanche dans les Yvelines, autour de la ville des Mureaux. Vallonnée, la 1ère étape a fait de gros dégâts parmi les sprinteurs, qui n'ont pas tous pu garder leur place au sein du peloton, et elle a également permis de voir quelques favoris à la victoire finale placer quelques belles banderilles, avec notamment un Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) déjà très actif et un Egan Bernal (INEOS Grenadiers) aux sensations retrouvées. Malgré une belle attaque dans le final du Français Anthony Turgis (TotalEnergies), que le peloton n'a revu qu'à 2 bornes du but, les sprinteurs ayant survécu aux deux belles bosses situées dans les 20 derniers kilomètres ont pu s'expliquer dans la bosse d'arrivée, le vainqueur du jour se nommant Olav Kooij !

Paris-Nice - Qui succédera à Tadej Pogacar ?
Souvent considéré comme le premier grand rendez-vous de la saison dans l'hexagone, Paris-Nice a dévoilé le parcours de sa 82e édition. Se tenant du 3 au 10 mars 2024, entre Les Mureaux et Nice, le tracé fait un mixte entre nouveautés et traditions. Comme depuis de nombreuses années, La Course au Soleil s'élancera des Yvelines, avec un premier acte autour de la commune des Mureaux, qui devrait faire la part belle aux sprinteurs-puncheurs. Les hommes rapides devraient également avoir leur chance le lendemain avec une arrivée à Montargis. S'en suivra un contre-la-montre par équipes de 26,9km autour de la ville d'Auxerre, avant le premier rendez-vous pour les grimpeurs et une arrivée au sommet du Mont Brouilly. La 5e étape devrait quant à elle sourire aux sprinteurs, qui s'expliqueront dans les rues de Sisteron, avant de laisser la place aux grimpeurs pour les trois derniers jours. Et ça débutera le vendredi avec un tracé très vallonné qui emmènera les coureurs vers La Colle-sur-Loup. Le lendemain, ce sera l'étape reine, avec une arrivée inédite à Auron (7,3km à 7,2%), avant de finir cette belle semaine par la traditionnelle étape autour de Nice.
