Après une semaine de course intense et pleine de rebondissements, cette 83e édition de Paris-Nice a pris fin ce dimanche, à l'occasion de la 8e et dernière étape habituelle autour de Nice. Et au terme d'une étape palpitante, c'est Magnus Sheffield (INEOS Grenadiers) qui s'est imposé en solitaire sur la Promenade des Anglais. Intouchable, Matteo Jorgenson (Visma | Lease a Bike) a lui été chercher la 2e place et remporte pour la deuxième année consécutive Paris-Nice

Samedi 15 mars, 7ème étape : Nice Auron, 147,8 km, Michael Storer la 7e étape en échappée... Florian Lipowitz grappille
Ce samedi se déroulait l'étape reine de ce Paris-Nice 2025 avec la montée d'Auron (7,3 km à 6,9%). Une journée très rapide car cette 7e étape a été modifiée en raison de la météo, avec seulement 109 kilomètres à parcourir. Michael Storer (Tudor) a fait le bon coup de la journée, gagnant l'étape en échappée et remontant à la quatrième place du classement général. Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe) a repris trois secondes à Matteo Jorgenson (Visma | Lease a Bike) dans l'ascension alors que Mattias Skjelmose a abandonné sur chute en début d'étape.

Jeudi 13 mars, 5ème étape : Saint-Just-En-Chevalet La Côte-Saint-André, 196,5 km -Lenny Martinez la 5e étape, Jonas Vingegard craque... et blessé ?
Au lendemain d'une 4e étape rendue chaotique par une météo capricieuse, le peloton a retrouvé des conditions un peu plus calmes ce jeudi sur les routes de Paris-Nice. Mais les coureurs avaient tout de même une grosse journée à affronter sur cette 5e étape, longue de plus de 200 km et surnommée "l'étape des murs", avec un enchaînement de cinq bosses très raides dans les 50 dernières bornes et une arrivée punchy à La Côte Saint-André, au sommet de la terrible Côte de Notre-Dame-de-Sciez (1,7km à 11,1%). On a finalement assisté dans cette dernière à une course de côte explosive qui a fait de gros dégâts parmi les favoris et souri... à Lenny Martinez ! Très costaud, le jeune Français de la Bahrain Victorious a résisté au gros tempo de Matteo Jorgenson (Visma | Lease a Bike) avant de faire parler son punch dans les derniers mètres pour décrocher son premier bouquet en World Tour ! Clairement le plus fort dans ce final, il devance de 3" son compatriote Clément Champoussin (XDS Astana) et l'Américain Jorgenson, qui profite de la défaillance de son coéquipier Jonas Vingegaard (peut-être diminué par une chute en cours en cours d'étape et seulement 16e à 26") pour récupérer à son tour le maillot Jaune !

Mercredi 12 mars, 4ème étape : Vichy La Loge des Gardes, 163,4 km - Almeida écoeure Jonas Vingegaard, une 4e étape folle et chaotique
Quel journée de guerrier sur ce Paris-Nice 2025 ! Déjà difficile sur le papier, la 4e étape disputée ce mercredi a été rendue épique et un brin chaotique par une météo comme prévu capricieuse (froid, pluie, grêle...), cette dernière forçant même les organisateurs à neutraliser la course pendant plusieurs dizaines de minutes à 45 kms de l'arrivée. Un nouveau départ a ensuite été donné à 28,8 km, et on a finalement assisté (sous un beau soleil !) à l'explication attendue entre les favoris ayant survécu à ces conditions extrêmes dans La Loge des Gardes (6,7km à 7,1%). Alors qu'il semblait bien lancé vers la victoire après s'être isolé aux 2 kms suite à un beau mano à mano avec Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious), Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) a finalement accusé le coup dans les derniers hectomètres et s'est fait reprendre sur le fil par Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates XRG) ! Un superbe final à suspense qui conclut parfaitement cette journée dantesque dont on se souviendra longtemps.

3ème étape : Circuit Nevers Magny-Cours Nevers (C.l.m. par équipe), 28,4 km - Visma | Lease a Bike écrase le chrono de l'étape 3, Jorgenson en Jaune
Le premier temps fort de cette 83e édition de Paris-Nice avait lieu ce mardi, à l'occasion de la 3e étape et du contre-la-montre par équipes qui été proposé. Un chrono de 28,4 kilomètres entre le Circuit Nevers Magny-Cours et Nevers qui a été largement dominé par la Visma | Lease a Bike. Les hommes en jaune et noir ont réalisé ce contre-la-montre 30 minutes et 26 secondes, reléguant la Jayco AlUla (2e) à 15" et la Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe (3e) à 25". Matteo Jorgenson et Jonas Vingegaard ayant passé la ligne d'arrivée en même temps, c'est donc l'Américain qui prend le Maillot Jaune, grâce aux bonifications prisent lors des deux premiers jours.

2ème étape : Montesson Bellegarde, 183,9 km - Tim Merlier la 2e étape devant Jeannière... Hugo Page déclassé
Sans surprise, on a assisté à une deuxième explication entre sprinteurs ce lundi sur la 2e étape de Paris-Nice... et à la victoire de Tim Merlier, qui confirme sans problème son statut de meilleur sprinteur du plateau ! A l'issue d'un parcours sans difficulté de 184 km entre Montesson et Bellegarde - et d'une journée seulement perturbée par plusieurs chutes, dont la plus grosse survenue en plein coeur du peloton aux 45 km qui a mis au sol de nombreux coureurs (dont le maillot jaune) et notamment provoqué l'abandon de Florian Sénéchal (Arkea-B&B Hôtels) - c'est à nouveau un peloton groupé qui s'est présenté pour la gagne dans la dernière ligne droite. Le sprint a été lancé sur la droite de la route par Axel Zingle (Visma | Lease a Bike), mais c'est bien le maillot Jaune qui a surgi pleine balle de l'autre côté pour s'imposer à nouveau avec une facilité déconcertante.

Paris-Nice - Tim Merlier s'offre la 1ère étape devant Arnaud Démare
La 83e édition de la "Course au Soleil", Paris-Nice, s'élançait ce dimanche et comme chaque année depuis les Yvelines, où 154 coureurs ont pris le départ d'une 1ère étape en boucle de 156,1 km autour de Perray-en-Yvelines. Avec seulement trois côtes de 3e catégorie tout au long du parcours, la perspective d'un sprint massif était très forte, et c'est ce qu'il s'est passé, avec la victoire du grand favori du jour Tim Merlier. Le Belge de la formation Soudal Quick-Step était un ton au-dessus de la concurrence et s'est imposé devant Arnaud Démare (Arkéa-B&B Hotels) et Alberto Dainese (Tudor Pro Cycling).
