Tirreno-Adriatico - Philipsen la 7e étape... Roglic sacré pour sa reprise
Tout comme Paris-Nice, l'édition 2023 de Tirreno-Adriatico a rendu son verdict ce dimanche. Mais contrairement à la course au Soleil, l'ultime journée de l'épreuve transalpine n'était pas vraiment propice à des changements majeurs au classement général. Et au terme des 154 kilomètres autour de San Benedetto del Tronto, c'est Jasper Philipsen qui s'est imposé dans un sprint royal. Encore une fois parfaitement lancé par son équipe, le Belge d'Alpecin-Deceuninck a résisté sur la ligne au retour de Dylan Groenewegen (Team Jayco AlUla) et remporte son 2e succès de la semaine en Italie. Alberto Dainese (Team DSM) complète le podium du jour. Pas inquiété, Primoz Roglic (Team Jumbo-Visma) est le grand vainqueur de cette 58e édition de la Course des deux mers, son 2e succès sur la course par étape italienne après 2019 ! Le Slovène est accompagné sur le podium par Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates) et Tao Geoghegan Hart (INEOS Grenadiers).

Tirreno-Adriatico - Primoz Roglic la 6e étape... impressionnant triplé !
Vainqueur à Tortoreto jeudi et à Sassotetto vendredi, Primoz Roglic a enchaîné une troisième victoire consécutive sur l'édition 2023 de Tirreno-Adriatico ! Ce samedi, à l'occasion de la 6e étape, celle dite des "murs", le Slovène de la Jumbo-Visma a devancé, à Osimo, le Britannique Tao Geoghegan Hart (INEOS Grenadiers), le Portugais Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates), l'Espagnol Enric Mas (Movistar Team) et l'Espagnol Mikel Landa (Bahrain Victorious), tous moins rapides que le maillot bleu. Ce succès permet à Primoz Roglic de conforter sa première place au classement général, surtout que son dauphin, l'Allemand Lennard Kämna (BORA-hansgrohe), a coincé ce samedi. Avant la 7e et dernière étape dimanche, qui ne devrait pas bouleverser le général, Roglic possède 18 secondes de marge sur Almeida et 23 sur Geoghegan Hart. Désormais quatrième, Kämna est à 34". Treizième de l'étape - juste devant Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal Quick-Step) - à 20" de Primoz Roglic, Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) fait son entrée dans le top 10 (10e à 1'11").

Tirreno-Adriatico - Primoz Roglic, la 5e étape... et la tête au général
Malgré les conditions climatiques extrêmement difficiles, avec un vent violent qui a soufflé tout au long de la journée, la 5e étape de Tirreno-Adriatico a pu aller à son terme. Et comme à Tortoreto la veille, c'est Primoz Roglic qui s'est imposé à Sassotetto, le coureur de la Jumbo-Visma ayant régler au sprint un groupe d'une quinzaine de coureurs. Le Slovène a devancé l'Italien Giulio Ciccone (Trek-Segafredo), le Britannique Tao Geoghegan Hart (INEOS Grenadiers), l'Australien Jai Hindley et l'Allemand Lennard Kämna (BORA-hanshroghe). Au jeu des bonifications, ce dernier perd le maillot bleu au profit de Primoz Roglic. À deux étapes du terme de l'épreuve, le vainqueur de l'édition 2019 possède 4" d'avance sur Kämna et 12 sur Joao Almeida (POR / UAE Team Emirates). Arrivé au sein du groupe des cadors, Thibaut Pinot (FRA / Groupama-FDJ) est pointé à 47 secondes.

Tirreno-Adriatico - Roglic la 4e étape, Alaphilippe 2e, Kämna leader
Après deux journées réservées aux sprinteurs, changement de registre sur Tirreno-Adriatico ! La 4e étape, tracée entre Greccio et Tortoreto, a signé l'entrée en lice des puncheurs et des favoris pour le classement général. Et au sommet de cette bosse de 3,2 kilomètres à près de 7% de moyenne, c'est Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) qui s'est imposé. Le Slovène a levé les bras devant Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal-Quick Step) et Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates). Lennard Kämna (BORA-hansgrohe) fini quant à lui dans le groupe des favoris et prend le maillot bleu de leader à Filippo Ganna (INEOS Grenadiers).

Philipsen la 3e étape... Van der Poel lanceur de luxe
Comme attendu et comme la veille, c'est au sprint que s'est jouée la 3e étape de Tirreno-Adriatico, disputée ce mercredi entre Follonica et Foligno. À l'issue des 216 kilomètres d'une course plutôt ennuyeuse mais qui s'est animée dans le dernier quart d'heure, c'est Jasper Philipsen qui s'est facilement imposé. Lancé de façon idéale par un Mathieu van der Poel qui l'a déposé à 100 mètres de la ligne, le Belge de l'équipe Alpecin-Deceuninck a ainsi ouvert son compteur en 2023. Le vainqueur de deux étapes sur le dernier Tour de France a devancé l'Allemand Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain Victorious) et l'Érythréen Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Circus-Wanty). Le top 5 a été complété par les Italiens Matteo Moschetti (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) et Simone Consonni (Cofidis), tandis que Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma / 6e), Dylan Groenewegen (Team Jayco AlUla / 8e) et Fabio Jakobsen (Soudal Quick-Step / 9e) ont terminé dans le top 10.

Tirreno-Adriatico - Fabio Jakobsen gagne la 2e étape, Nacer Bouhanni 10e
Disputée entre Camaiore et Follonica (210 km), la 2e étape de Tirreno-Adriatico a été remportée ce mardi par le Néerlandais Fabio Jakobsen (Soudal Quick-Step) ! Vainqueur pour la deuxième fois de la saison, le champion d'Europe a devancé d'extrême justesse le Belge Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) et le Colombien Fernando Gaviria (Movistar Team), parti de très loin et qui a bien failli piéger les favoris du jour. Biniam Girmay (ERY / Intermarché-Circus-Wanty) et Juan Sebastian Molano (COL / UAE Team Emirates) ont complété le top 5, tandis que Dylan Groenewegen (NED / Team Jayco AlUla) et Nacer Bouhanni (FRA / Team Arkéa-Samsic) ont respectivement fini septième et dixième. Arrivé au sein du peloton, Filippo Ganna (INEOS Grenadiers) conserve le maillot bleu de leader du classement général.

Filippo Ganna écrase le chrono inaugural, Kämna 2e
En parallèle de Paris-Nice, démarrait ce lundi après-midi Tirreno-Adriatico (6 au 12 mars) ! Pour ce premier jour, la course par étapes italienne proposait un contre-la-montre individuel de 11,5 kilomètres dans les rues de Lido di Camaiore. Et c'est le grand favori du jour, Filippo Ganna (INEOS Grenadiers) qui s'est imposé. Le Champion d'Italie de la discipline a écrasé ce chrono, devançant Lennard Kämna (BORA-hansgrohe) et Magnus Scheffield (INEOS Grenadiers) de 28 et 31 secondes. Concernant les favoris au classement général, tout le monde se tient à peu près dans le même temps.
