Tour des Alpes - Grossschartner gagne la 5e étape, Simon Yates sacré
Deuxième à Naturno mercredi derrière l'Italien Gianni Moscon (INEOS Grenadiers), Felix Grossschartner a su conclure ce vendredi lors de la cinquième et dernière étape du Tour des Alpes. Vainqueur à Riva del Garda, l'Autrichien de la BORA-hansgrohe a distancé tous ses compagnons d'échappée - dont Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) - dans la dernière ascension du jour. Il a devancé l'Irlandais Nicolas Roche (Team DSM) et l'Italien Alessandro De Marchi (Israel Start-Up Nation) de 34 secondes, tandis que le groupe des favoris, réglé par Gianni Moscon, a franchi la ligne avec 40 secondes de retard.

Tour des Alpes - Bilbao remporte la 4e étape devant Vlasov et Yates
Au terme d'un final haletant, Pello Bilbao (Bahrain-Victorious) a remporté la 4e étape du Tour des Alpes en devançant Aleksandr Vlasov (Astana-Premier tech) et Simon Yates (Team BikeExchange). L'Espagnol avait pourtant été distancé par ses deux concurrents dans la dernière difficulté du jour, mais il a réussi à revenir seul dans la descente avant de s'imposer au sprint.

Tour des Alpes - 2e victoire pour Gianni Moscon, Yates reste leader
Déjà vainqueur de la 1ère étape, Gianni Moscon (INEOS Grenadiers) a de nouveau levé les bras sur le Tour des Alpes en s'adjugeant la 3e étape ce mercredi. Présent dans l'échappée du jour, l'Italien est sorti dans le final en compagnie de trois autres coureurs et a devancé au sprint l'Autrichien Felix Grossschartner (Bora-Hansgrohe). Michael Storer (Team DSM) a pris la 3e place, tandis que le Français François Bidard (AG2R Citroën) a terminé 7e.

Tour des Alpes - Simon Yates intouchable sur la 2e étape, Bardet 9e
Simon Yates (Team BikeExchange) a réalisé une démonstration sur la 2e étape du Tour des Alpes, qu'il a remportée en solitaire. Le Britannique est sorti du groupe des favoris dans la dernière ascension répertoriée du jour et n'a jamais été revu par ses concurrents. Au final, il s'est imposé avec 41'' d'avance sur Pavel Sivakov (INEOS Grenadiers), le meilleur des "autres", Dan Martin (Israel Start-Up Nation) prenant la 3e place à 58''. Plutôt à l'aise sur cette grande étape de montagne, Romain Bardet (Team DSM) a terminé 9e, à 1'42'' du vainqueur.

Tour des Alpes - La 2e étape, les grimpeurs sont attendus !
Au lendemain de la victoire de Gianni Moscon (INEOS Grenadiers) sur la 1ère étape, les choses vont se corser ce mardi sur le Tour des Alpes avec une 2e étape montagneuse. Trois belles ascensions sont au programme, toutes situées dans la deuxième partie de course, et l'arrivée se fera au sommet à Feichten im Kaunertal. Les meilleurs grimpeurs vont devoir se dévoiler, et ils sont nombreux à pouvoir prétendre à la victoire : Pavel Sivakov, Ivan Sosa et Daniel Martinez (INEOS Grenadiers), Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ), Romain Bardet et Jai Hindley (Team DSM), Nairo Quintana (Arkéa-Samsic), Aleksandr Vlasov (Astana-Premier Tech), Simon Yates (Team BikeExchange), Hugh Carthy (EF Education-Nippo), Ilnur Zakarin (Gazprom-RusVelo), Dan Martin voire Chris Froome (Israel Start-Up Nation), même si le Britannique n'a pas rassuré sur la 1ère étape puisqu'il a coupé la ligne avec plus de 5 minutes de retard sur Moscon.
Tour des Alpes - Gianni Moscon surprend le peloton sur la 1ère étape
Gianni Moscon (INEOS Grenadiers) a remporté la 1ère étape du Tour des Alpes à Innsbruck. L'Italien est sorti du peloton à 4 kilomètres de l'arrivée avant d'être rejoint par le Norvégien Idar Andersen (Uno-X Pro Cycling) sous la flamme rouge. Il s'est ensuite montré le plus fort au sprint pour devancer son rival et aller chercher cette belle victoire, sa première depuis près de trois ans. Le Biélorusse Aleksandr Riabushenko (UAE Team Emirates) complète le podium.
